shuk.world is a classifieds site built for the Jewish community — Orthodox, observant, somewhere in between. Buy something. Sell something. Lend something. Find a sublet, a sofer, a chavrusa, a job.
The existing options didn't reflect the community we're part of. Facebook groups feel chaotic, regular classifieds sites have no cultural context, and the frum WhatsApp groups are useful but unsearchable. We thought we could do better.
What we believe
Free is the right price.
No listing fees. No commission. No "premium boost" upsell. Posting is free, browsing is free, messaging sellers is free. If we ever charge for anything, it'll be a small subscription for power users who post a lot — never for the basics.
No algorithms.
Listings appear in chronological order. We don't sort by what's "engaging" or paid for. We don't insert ads between real posts. We don't auto-suggest "things you might also like" based on your behavior. The list is the list.
Read by a person.
Every listing is reviewed by a real human before going live. Most are approved within a few hours. This is slower than fully automated sites — and that's the point.
Dignified by default.
We block antisemitic content, MLM pitches, escort services, and other things we wouldn't want next to our name. Read the guidelines for the full list.
Your data isn't the product.
